The main theme in the novel the phantom of the opera,

is true love and sacrifice.

Raul is willing to go underground through the dangerous passages that lead to the Opera House to save Christine who has been kidnapped by the phantom.

Christine sacrifice herself when she agrees to marry the phantom so that Raul's life can be spared.

When Christine kisses Erik,

he is so overwhelmed by her gesture that he is willing to sacrifice his own hapiness and lets Christine go to Raul.

by this,

we see that true love actually requires sacrifices.

最近在追看古天乐演的《神雕侠侣》……

看那个杨过和小龙女，

合了又离，

离了又合……

小龙女就来牺牲自己了(还没那么快结束，还有很多集)

就令我想起前阵子考试背的the Phantom of the Opera 之main theme……

不过，

小龙女的sacrifice比较感人，

比较伟大……

人有悲欢离合，

月有阴晴圆缺，

此事古难全。

但愿人长久，

千里共婵娟。
